Dosa Hut, a vibrant South Indian restaurant, is seeking a talented Chef to lead our kitchen and deliver authentic, high-quality cuisine.

Role Summary:

• Manage a high-pressure commercial kitchen
• Prepare and cook specialised Indian cuisine
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement staff rosters and supervise cooks and assistants
• Discuss food preparation issues with managers and staff
• Requisition food, kitchen supplies, and equipment
• Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise kitchen staff
• Prepare, cook, portion, and garnish dishes
• Enforce hygiene regulations and maintain workplace safety standards
• Train and mentor kitchen staff
• Preserve and freeze foods as required

Required Background:

• Certificate IV in Cookery
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Indian cuisine
• Strong cooking expertise, food presentation, and comprehensive knowledge of cuisine
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to complying with health and workplace safety regulations
