Grilled Steak & Seafood Hardware Lane is a well-established restaurant located in Melbourne’s iconic Hardware Lane, known for premium steaks, fresh seafood, and exceptional service. We are currently looking for two talented and experienced Chefs to join our busy kitchen team.

Position Overview:
The successful candidates will plan, organise, and oversee the preparation and cooking of food, ensuring that all dishes meet the high standards our customers expect.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and organise the preparation and cooking of food in a dining or catering establishment.
• Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and order food supplies.
• Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
• Discuss food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen/waiting staff.
• Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise team members on procedures.
• Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes to a high standard.
• Explain and enforce hygiene and safety regulations in the kitchen.
• Select and train kitchen staff as required.
• Freeze, preserve, and properly store foods to maintain freshness and minimize. waste.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chef in a busy restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure.
• Culinary qualifications preferred but not essential for the right candidates.
