The Parkhotel Pörtschach 4*S, a traditional establishment in the design of the 1960s, profiles itself with its unique location directly on Lake Wörthersee and accommodates young couples, families, seminar & business guests up to long-standing regular customers. Our guests not only enjoy the view of the landscape but also the culinary delights in our own hotel restaurant with lakeview terrace as well as the beach, wellness area and bar. Employment type: Full-time Responsible for a smooth-running kitchen team, including planning and organizing menus, ordering supplies, and managing inventory. This includes coordinating with suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and have a high level of organizational ability. In addition, the ideal candidate should have experience in kitchen management, including menu planning, inventory control, and staff supervision. Furthermore, the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is required. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. This includes monitoring and controlling temperatures, humidity levels, and other environmental factors that affect food quality. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing a team of cooks, including training and supervising staff, as well as maintaining a positive work atmosphere. In addition, the ability to speak German is required for this position.
