MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reporting line to the Restaurant Manager / Assistant Restaurant Manager / Restaurant Supervisor.

  • Responsible for Demi-Chef de Rang, Commis de Rang, Apprentices, Interns Hostess

  • Be a role model by arriving at work on time, appropriately dressed, and well-groomed (in accordance with the hotel's dress code and Kempinski Grooming Standards). Always value a neat appearance and demeanor.

  • Always provide polite and professional service and ensure that all employees in the department follow this example.

  • All tasks and duties are performed as necessary for the department.

  • Be knowledgeable about all hotel services and products

  • Have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage offerings in the department.

  • Be able to explain and understand upselling, as well as promote it for all products and offer alternatives.

  • Monitor equipment and reduce material losses

  • Ensure the workspace is clean and organized

  • Polite and empathetic handling of guest requests. Report guest complaints and feedback to Assistant RST Manager / RST Manager, Outlet Operations Manager, ensure follow-up

  • Use of existing communication tools, such as Samfex

  • Operate the Micros System based on the required/learned knowledge of the department.

  • Operate the Samfex System.

  • Observe all rules established in the hotel regulations as well as strict adherence to fire safety regulations, hygiene, and safety standards.

  • Maintain a harmonious working relationship with all employees in the department and the hotel

  • Actively participate in all staff meetings, departmental training, and other hotel training.

  • Undertake appropriate tasks and further duties as instructed by the Department Head.

  • Respond to changes within the department as directed by hotel management

  • Support in the defined inventories of hardware and other equipment.

  • Perform appropriate tasks and duties as instructed.

  • Always have a positive and motivated attitude towards work

  • Lead the service and act as a role model.

  • Ensure perfect service at the highest standard, as specified by the department and hotel.

  • Have a full understanding of the restaurant concept and be a role model in terms of service, food, and beverages.

  • Always have a positive and motivated attitude towards work and practice self-discipline. Can be deployed in all available shifts of the department.


  • Completed vocational training in upscale hotel or restaurant management
  • Professional experience in a similar position in upscale hospitality
  • A clean and organized way of working
  • Charming and well-groomed appearance
  • Confident handling of international guests
  • Good language skills in German and English, other languages are an advantage
