Chef de Partie - Lodge in Namibia - Namibian Nationals Only Seeking an experienced and reliable Chef de Partie (CDP) to support kitchen operations within a luxury, off-grid safari lodge environment. This role is ideal for a skilled chef who is passionate about quality, consistency, and working as part of a close-knit team in a remote setting. Key Responsibilities · Manage a designated kitchen section during preparation and service · Ensure consistent food quality, portion control, and presentation throughout the meal service period · Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards · Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food production · Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients · Participate in menu planning and development, ensuring dishes are innovative, visually appealing, and meet customer expectations · Provide exceptional customer service by being attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the lodge's offerings · Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining a positive work environment · Be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances, such as unexpected absences or last-minute menu changes · Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information and uphold the lodge's policies and procedures · Participate in training and development programs to enhance culinary skills and knowledge · Work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and cultures · Demonstrate a commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility within the kitchen operations
