The position of Workshop Manager Carpentry (M/F)

Absolis is looking for a workshop manager (M/F) for one of its clients, a specialist in interior fittings.
Reporting to the production director, you will be responsible for the smooth running of manufacturing, respecting the schedule, quality, costs, and deadlines.
Acting as a key link between production, the design office, and management, you will ensure the coordination and performance of the workshop.
Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
1. Team Management and Motivation:
- Supervise, motivate, and lead the production team (carpenters, machine operators).
- Plan and organize daily work according to the production schedule.
- Ensure team cohesion, discipline, and skill development.
- Be present on the ground, support the teams, and participate in daily production.
- Guarantee adherence to safety rules and internal procedures.
2. Production and Quality Monitoring:
- Ensure compliance with the schedule, manufacturing conformity, and the quality of finished products.
- Oversee the proper execution of tasks, cleanliness, and rigor at workstations.
- Pay attention to meeting deadlines and controlling production costs.
- Identify discrepancies or malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
- Report technical, design, or supply issues to the design office and the production director.
3. Continuous Improvement and Performance:
- Be a proactive force in optimizing organization, methods, and production flows.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the workshop (quality, productivity, safety, working conditions).
- Contribute to the preventive maintenance and general good condition of the equipment.
- Monitor and analyze performance indicators (productivity, scrap, schedule adherence...).
You will work from Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM / 1:30 PM - 5:15 PM and Friday: 7:15 AM - 12:30 PM

The ideal candidate

- Holder of a BTS/DUT in Carpentry, Interior Fittings, or Cabinetmaking, or equivalent qualification.
- Significant experience in the manufacturing and/or installation of high-end carpentry and interior fittings, with proven experience in team management.
- Excellent command of manufacturing processes, materials, and assembly techniques in interior fittings.
- Ability to read plans, knowledge of technical constraints and tolerances.
- Proficiency in using traditional and digital machinery.
- Good understanding of the complete workflow: design? manufacturing? installation.
