Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our hospitality team in Christies Beach, South Australia. This full-time role offers a long-term opportunity for a dedicated professional who can consistently deliver high-quality meals while maintaining efficient kitchen operations and strict food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with menu requirements and quality standards
• Plan menus and accurately estimate food and labour costs
• Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and efficiency
• Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards
• Supervise, train, and support kitchen staff as required
• Manage stock control, ordering, and proper storage of ingredients
• Reduce food wastage and maintain effective cost control practices

Skills and Experience Required

• Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant full-time experience as a Chef
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety regulations
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced work environment
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary and Employment Conditions

• Competitive salary of AUD $80,000 + superannuation, in accordance with Australian workplace laws
