Antico Woodfired Pizza in Narellan is looking for a Full-Time Chef (minimum 38 hours per week) to join our fast-paced, dynamic kitchen. • Plan and develop menus that reflect authentic Italian flavours while ensuring a balance of creativity, customer appeal, and cost efficiency.
• Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining a positive, productive work environment.
• Create and manage staff schedules, coordinating the work of cooks, kitchen hands, and other team members to ensure adequate coverage during service.
• Recruit, train, and oversee kitchen personnel, providing ongoing guidance to maintain high culinary and hygiene standards.
• Monitor food quality at every stage, from preparation to final presentation, ensuring consistency, freshness, and adherence to Antico’s standards.
• Manage food costs effectively, maintaining budget requirements and implementing cost-control measures when ordering ingredients and supplies.
• Oversee stock management, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining inventory, while ensuring proper storage systems and stock rotation procedures are followed.

About the applicant

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a chef in a high-volume kitchen
• Expertise in hand-stretching dough and cooking in a woodfired oven
• A commitment to impeccable presentation and hygiene standards at all times
• Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Weekend availability is a must – we’re busiest on weekends and need you to be there!
• Australian Resident or must have working rights in Australia
• Ability to commute or relocate to Narellan 2567, NSW, before starting work
