We are seeking an experienced Casual Chef to join our team at an aged care facility in Christchurch. This role includes weekend work and offers flexible casual hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and cooking nutritious, high-quality meals for residents
- Working with dietary requirements and allergens, including special diets
- Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and kitchen standards
- Working collaboratively with kitchen and care staff
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a chef
- Aged care facility experience preferred
- Strong understanding of dietary needs and allergen management
- Ability to work weekends
- Must have legal working rights in New Zealand
- Applicants must disclose any criminal convictions
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
- Dependent on experience
