Company Name: Goodwill Healthcare Services Limited Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, Sunderland Position Type: Zero Hours Contract (Temporary) Hourly Rate: £16.00 - £24.00 Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Ensure all food is prepared and presented to a high standard. Adhere to strict hygiene and food safety regulations. Manage and maintain kitchen stock levels, ensuring efficient ordering and stock rotation. Collaborate with care home staff to understand residents' needs and preferences. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. Work efficiently under pressure, especially during busy service times. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a care home or similar setting. Excellent knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards. Ability to prepare meals for individuals with specific dietary needs (e.g., allergies, texture modifications). Strong understanding of portion control and cost-effective cooking. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
