The Chef, Access to Market and Health Economy and Research Evaluation is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans aimed at ensuring, maintaining, and optimizing the reimbursement of AbbVie's products among public and private payers. Under the supervision of the Director, Access to Market, Oncology, the incumbent will lead the creation of submissions to payers, health economics studies, and data-driven strategies in real-life situations, in collaboration with interfunctional teams and external partners. This position requires a presence at the office 3 fixed days per week, namely Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. **Main Responsibilities**
- Develop strategies related to market access, health economy, and research evaluation to obtain, maintain, or optimize the reimbursement of new and existing products among various public and private payers.
- Prepare files for Health Canada's Agency of Medicines (AMC), the National Institute of Excellence in Health and Social Services (INESSS), and private insurance companies, including developing impact budget analyses and adapting economic analyses. This requires ensuring liaison with the global market access organization to leverage the global dossier value, market access strategies, and tools designed for insurers.
- Plan and coordinate Canadian studies on health economy and research evaluation to support strategies aimed at obtaining, maintaining, or optimizing the reimbursement of new and existing products among various public and private payers.
- Develop and co-direct the shaping of the environment with colleagues from Government Affairs and Public Affairs.
- Communicate effectively the progress and results of health economy and research evaluation studies to concerned groups (e.g., researchers, brand teams, etc.).
- Maintain liaison with consultants, contract research organizations, economists, and others regarding different research projects on health economy and research evaluation.
- Take an active part in brand team activities and find opportunities to work collaboratively with colleagues occupying other functions to achieve the set goals for the brand.
- Monitor deadlines and budget expenses related to initiatives related to market access, health economy, and research evaluation.
