Job description

The activities are carried out within the Defense Traffic and Transport Organization (DVVO). The DVVO is one of the service centers that falls under the Facility, Logistics and Security Division (DFLB) of the Defense Support Command (DOSCO).

The DVVO aims to provide worldwide transport of people and goods for Defense, physical mail processing, and to manage the administration and operation of all civilian service cars.

The Passenger Transport Service (PVD) aims to plan and execute non-operational passenger transport for Defense. This service is divided into the disciplines of group transport, patient transport, and VIP transport.

The VIP Transport Driver is responsible for transporting Very Important Persons (VIPs), performing maintenance work on the vehicles, and carrying out administrative tasks related to transport assignments.

Your tasks:

Perform transport, maintenance, and administrative tasks by:

- preparing for the route to be followed and transporting VIPs to various domestic and international destinations, based on a work schedule or specific assignments;

- anticipating unexpected events during VIP movements to safely deliver the VIP to the destination;

- ensuring the vehicle is loaded safely;

- keeping a logbook of the vehicle used and recording all necessary trip details;

- acting in case of traffic accidents and providing first aid where necessary;

- performing user maintenance on the fleet, such as washing, cleaning the interior, checking and refilling fuel, oil, water, and coolant, tire pressure, checking controls, and reporting malfunctions to C-onh;

- executing the correct administrative processing of documents necessary for transport.

Other employment conditions

From 2025 onwards, defense employees will no longer receive vacation pay and year-end bonus as separate payments, but will accrue these monthly through the Individual Choice Budget (IKB). The IKB for defense employees amounts to a total of 16.33 percent of the salary.
With the IKB, defense employees can decide for themselves when, what, and how much budget they spend on time, money, or tax facilities. This can be up to the maximum monthly accrued budget.

The IKB can be used for:

• A maximum of 15 percent of the salary can be used monthly for the exchange of the commuting allowance.
• The monthly difference between the contribution to the costs of private transport for commuting and the tax maximum.
• A bicycle for personal use, including bicycle accessories and bicycle insurance.
• A computer that can also be used for work or study, including computer accessories and computer insurance.
• A battery or electrical parts for a bicycle.
• Payment of union membership fees.
• Defense expects to further expand the possibilities of the IKB in the future.
