What will you do?

As a school transport driver at Transdev/Connexxion in Veendam and surroundings, you are much more than just a driver. You are the trusted face that happily greets the children every day with a high five. For them, you are not just a driver, but someone who ensures a pleasant and safe ride. A smile, a chat, a joke now and then – you make their journey to school just a little bit more fun.

These children cannot travel independently due to illness, disability, or behavioral problems. You are their driver and friend, so they can go to school or day care. In the morning, you pick them up between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM, so they are in class on time, and in the afternoon – when school is over – you bring them home safely. In the meantime, you can enjoy free time. With your patience and positive energy, you make every ride a relaxing moment and leave parents with a sense of security.

What we offer you:

You have a great sense of responsibility and know how to handle children. Patience, kindness, and care are self-evident for you. You understand how important it is for parents to entrust their children to you with peace of mind.

You live in the vicinity of Veendam and have a B driver's license with at least 1.5 years of driving experience. You also master Dutch at level B1. A valid driver's card is a plus, but not a requirement, as you can follow the training with us. You can also provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).

Do you already have a taxi pass? Then you will receive a €1,000 welcome bonus.

What do you bring?

As a driver at Transdev/Connexxion, you carry a lot of responsibility, as parents rely on you to transport their child safely. In addition, we offer:

• Prospect of a permanent contract in case of good performance;
• A gross hourly wage between €15.52 and €17.81;
• You work 10 to 15 hours per week, only on school days;
• All school holidays off;
• Always in May: 8% holiday pay;
• Sustainable travel: a (electric) bicycle via Lease a Bike;
• We take care of now and later: pension according to Pension Fund Transport;
• A vehicle at your doorstep, with which you pick up and drop off the children.
