Materials Engineer Project Coordinator

As a direct report to the Materials Engineering Director, the successful candidate will act as a project coordinator for the ABS Group. The main responsibilities will be to ensure the planning of work and necessary follow-ups to complete projects. He/She will also be responsible for controlling the quality of work performed on construction sites.

Main Responsibilities:

Office Component (90%)

• Responsible for the success of assigned projects, from planning to invoicing ;
  
• Ensure project planning and follow-up (scheduling and budget);
  
• Coordinate project execution on various construction sites;
  
• Supervise the quality of work performed by site technicians;
  
• Validate and compile test results conducted at the site and laboratory;
  
• Verify compliance certificates planned by the contractor to ensure conformity with plans and tenders;
  
• Write and approve technical reports;
  
• Inform clients and superiors on project progress and maintain excellent customer service;
  
• Track allocated budgets per project.
  

Site Component (10%)

• Attend project meetings (via Microsoft TEAMS or in person).
  

Sought-After Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field;
  
• Possess a minimum of three (3) years as a full-time engineer (OIQ);
  
• Member in good standing with the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ);
  
• Pertinent experience in material control on construction sites, an asset;
  
• Mastery of the French language, both spoken and written;
  
• ASP Construction card;
  
• Mastery of MS Office software.
