Main responsibilities

Within multidisciplinary teams, participate in projects of design, rehabilitation, or construction of buildings, roads, bridges, hydraulic structures, excavation works, slope stability, soil dynamics, temporary and permanent supports, deep and conventional foundations for private or public clients, institutions, or industries, primarily in Quebec but also elsewhere in Canada.

Your contribution to the team:

• Conduct complete geotechnical studies from planning to report writing, including surveys, drilling, laboratory testing, and recommendations for design
• Inspect, evaluate safety, and bring up to code concrete and earth dams
• Participate in tunnel studies and rock face stability assessments, including discontinuity surveys and potential slide plans using a drone
• Coordinate studies, engineering, fieldwork, subcontractors, and suppliers
• P prepare bid documents for interdepartmental or public service offers
• Supported by experienced draftsmen, prepare plans and estimates for earthworks, slope stabilization, riverbank protection, etc.
• Mentor, train, and guide CPI or interns
