Certification Engineer

Frigoglass Romania is hiring a Certification Engineer for the Product Development department.

Main Role:

Ensures product compliance with applicable standards and regulations, managing certification activities and relationships with certification bodies.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for analyzing the requirements of current standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, CE, etc.);
• Monitors legislative and standard changes and updates internal documents;
• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining electrical safety certificates for newly developed showcases and for updating existing models;
• Responsible for developing and controlling quality documents used for laboratory accreditation & certification;
• Responsible for organizing evaluations with certification bodies, either factory visits or visits to their premises;
• Cooperates with the electrical safety engineer, product development engineers, and laboratory engineers to ensure all projects comply with electrical safety regulations;
• Cooperates with other product development engineers, laboratory engineers, the product conformity department, and the certification manager, as well as with other stakeholders, to achieve high-quality products by analyzing feedback, observations, and results for prototypes and tests;
• Responsible for developing test reports;
• Responsible for registering orders/invoices in the internal system and liaising with suppliers;
• Ensures projects are executed in accordance with company procedures and priorities;
• Reports to the laboratory manager, who defines priorities and tasks;

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• University degree in Electrical Engineering
• Computer operating skills: Microsoft Excel, Word;
• English language – intermediate level;
• Experience in a similar position - minimum 1 year;
