This is a rare opportunity to take the lead on the opening of a brand-new early learning service in Sydney’s south-west. Commencing in January 2026, you’ll play a pivotal role in recruiting the team, preparing the environment, and shaping the centre’s culture and practice ahead of opening.

The Role

As Centre Director, you will lead the full pre-opening and establishment of a 67-place service, including:
  • Recruiting, onboarding, and developing the opening team
  • Preparing the centre for licensing, compliance, and operational readiness
  • Establishing culture, routines, and pedagogical direction
  • Building strong relationships with families, the school community, and stakeholders
  • The leadership structure includes a Centre Director, Assistant Director/Educational Leader, and onsite Administration support.

About You

You are a confident, values-led Centre Director who brings:
  • ECT qualification (essential)
  • Minimum 3+ years Centre Director experience
  • Strong experience in centre openings or complex service leadership
  • Deep knowledge of child safety, compliance, and quality practice
  • A calm, professional leadership style with the ability to build teams from scratch
  • Alignment with values-led, inclusive, community-focused education
