Jacquemus was founded by Simon Porte Jacquemus in 2009 in Paris, France.
Dedicated to the memory of the creator's mother, the brand draws inspiration from a passion for culture. The women's and men's collections reference the French art of living and universal gestures of beauty, integrating influences ranging from art photography to decorative arts, cinema, painting, and sculpture.
Over the years, Jacquemus has staged its fashion shows in unique and unexpected locations, including a Parisian swimming pool, the Picasso Museum, a lavender field in Provence, a wheat field on the outskirts of Paris, a salt marsh in the Camargue, and a beach in Hawaii. Based in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, Jacquemus is an independent fashion house with over 300 employees. YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Design, you will be involved in the creation of men's and women's collections, jersey, swimwear, and show pieces, from image research to prototype follow-up in standardization.
This position covers both creation and product development: you will work in conjunction with partner factories and contribute to the perfect fit of each garment.
YOUR MISSIONS
- Conduct iconographic research and build collection boards
- Carry out research on volumes, finishes, and graphics
- Create visuals on Photoshop and mock-ups
- Ensure material sourcing
- Prepare launch sheets and follow up on prototype corrections
- Produce technical drawings
- Participate in fittings
- Accompany the pieces through to standardization, in liaison with the factories
YOUR PROFILE
You have approximately 2 years of prior experience as a junior designer, ideally in jersey and/or fluid wear.
You also have:
- A strong sensitivity for garment fit, with an interest in fluid design and 3D work
- Proficiency in the Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and ease with technical drawing
- An autonomous, resourceful, and proactive mindset
- The ability to quickly develop routines and manage multiple subjects in parallel
- The desire to grow within a demanding creative studio
The position is based in Paris, in the 8th arrondissement.
