RPO's client is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team, specializing in the manufacturing of automotive components. The role reports to the Toolroom New Tools Supervisor and involves operating and programming CNC machines to produce high-quality tools and components.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC milling machines and wire cutters to manufacture components.
• Develop prototypes, verify tests/trials, and manufacture tools to required specifications.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and suggest solutions.
• Perform any other assigned reasonable duties.
• Maximize machine uptime and minimize downtime through efficient operation.
• Optimize CNC programs to reduce cycle times and improve productivity.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to increase efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with CNC machines and programs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Requirements:

• Minimum N3 qualification (Matric included).
• At least 3 years of experience operating CNC milling machines.
• Experience with Fanuc controls (milling machines).
• Proficiency in programming G-code and Mastercam (minimum of 3 years).
• Knowledge of CNC machines, grinders, lathes, and milling machines.
• Ability to use basic measuring instruments (e.g., Vernier, micrometer, dial indicator).
• Understanding and ability to read engineering drawings, including GD&T.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and technical drawing software (e.g., Mastercam, AutoCAD).
• Excellent eye for detail, analytical, and results-oriented.
• Strong problem-solving skills with good interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Accurate and efficient in performing technical tasks.
