Job Description
Are you an enthusiastic catering or hospitality employee with a passion for hospitality? Then read on quickly. Because maybe we at Paresto – the internal defense caterer – are looking for you! Good nutrition is crucial for the deployability of our defense colleagues. As a catering employee at the Trip van Zoudtlandkazerne in Breda, you will contribute to this.
As a defense employee, your work matters, and for clarity: you don't have to be military personnel to do so. Paresto consists of 95% civilian employees in the service of Defense.
What will you do?
From a hospitable attitude, you always know how to improve our services. Guests in our company restaurant and users of other (banqueting) services are central. At the front, you make guests feel at home, help them with questions, replenish the assortment, and handle cash register duties. You also assist with any banqueting services, such as meeting lunches, special (officers') dinners, or gatherings. Additionally, you help keep the food environment clean according to HACCP rules at the front and back (kitchen/dishwashing). Because of your hospitable and proactive attitude, guests will gladly return!
At our location, we offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Very occasionally, a weekend shift may occur. You will arrange your schedule in good consultation with the catering manager, and generally, with us, you work in hospitality but with more regular working hours and better employment conditions.
Brief overview of your tasks:
• Hospitably receive and address guests during breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner

• Participate in (meeting) lunch and banqueting services
• Replenishing the assortment
• Cleaning tasks according to HACCP rules
Our team within Paresto
You will be working in a team with colleagues who work in the kitchen and at the front, most of whom are also catering employees. At Defense, as an employee, you have access to an individual choice budget (IKB) monthly. This IKB is composed of your holiday pay and year-end bonus. This means it amounts to 16.33% of your gross salary.
You can save the IKB, have it paid out, or spend it. The latter can be used for mobility (bicycle or e-bike), IT resources (laptop, etc.), union contributions, or extra vacation days, for example. The IKB makes a large part of your salary directly usable for what you find truly important.
Special Provisions

The Facilities, Logistics, and Security Division (DFLB) is a professional organization that provides facility and logistics services to its clients within and outside Defense, where and when needed. We operate in a client-oriented, cost-conscious, reliable, flexible, and transparent manner.
The work is carried out within the DFLB, which falls under the Defense Support Command (DOSCO).
