The Woolpack Pub is a traditional English pub with a proud history of serving the Buckingham community. We are known for freshly prepared food, excellent ales, and the warm, welcoming service that makes the English pub such a treasured tradition. Due to staff shortages, we are urgently recruiting a Catering Manager to help us continue delivering high standards to our guests.

As Catering Manager, you will take responsibility for all food and beverage operations, including lunch, supper, and event catering. You will lead a small team, oversee daily service, manage stock and costs, and ensure full compliance with food hygiene, allergen control, and Health & Safety regulations. This is a hands-on role where your leadership and organisation will directly impact the smooth running and success of the pub.

Oversee daily lunch, supper, and event catering services.

Supervise, train, and support stewards and pub assistants.

Maintain high food standards, hygiene, and allergen control.

Monitor costs, control wastage, and reconcile accounts.

Manage stock levels, bookwork, and cash handling.

Ensure cleanliness and safety across kitchen and bar areas.

Drive excellent customer service and support profitability targets.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospitality (pubs, restaurants, hotels, or catering).

Strong leadership and organisational skills.

Knowledge of food hygiene and Health & Safety regulations.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.
