Category Manager

Job Description The Category Manager is responsible for Category Management, Strategic sourcing and negotiation, Contract Management and Risk Management of all TKI assigned commodities. This function is a global support function with a direct reporting relationship to the Procurement Director. You are responsible for: Commodity Strategy Development Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand the key value objectives of assigned commodity. Organize commodity team meetings to develop balanced category strategies that align with business objectives. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the category. Identify and prioritize initiatives to drive cost savings, quality improvements, and supply chain efficiencies. Manage and track category performance metrics, including spend, inventory, and supplier diversity. Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Provide expert advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement best practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements. Identify and mitigate risks associated with category management, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and regulatory non-compliance. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. You are also responsible for: Contract Management Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions. Manage contract renewals, extensions, and terminations in accordance with company policies and procedures. Risk Management Identify and mitigate risks associated with category management, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and regulatory non-compliance. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies that align with business objectives and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
