Task

As Category Manager MDC (Carrefour's own brand) within Carrefour Belgium, you manage a product group so that you, together with the Business Units, can achieve objectives on volume, commercial margins (regular and promotional, own brands, and first price) and impact on stock (quantity and quality). You negotiate purchase and supply conditions for your product group.

Responsibility Area

Your responsibilities as Category Manager within Carrefour Belgium are the following:

• Becoming aware of what the customer wants and translating these insights into commercial actions. Stimulating sales and converting sales analyses into concrete actions.
• Making decisions on the composition and revision of the assortment, in consultation with business, to create an offer that responds to the customer's request and makes it possible to achieve the set margins.
• Setting up a suitable sales plan to contribute to achieving objectives regarding volume, margins, and price image.
• Implementing promotional actions and working on developing our own brands.
• Analyzing the market and following competition to ensure a good positioning in terms of price/quality.
• Narrowly managing references in the article database.
• Coordinating replenishments and ensuring that stock objectives regarding stores and warehouses are respected.

Profile

• You have a Bachelor or Master's degree.
• You master both national languages; Dutch & French.
• You are customer-oriented and commercially inclined.
• You work accurately and are result-oriented.
• You have an analytical mind and an eye for detail
• You work autonomously.
• You are stress-resistant.
• You can negotiate well and make decisions.
• You communicate in a fluent manner.
• You are curious, creative, and interested in market trends.
• You can easily work with SAP, Excel, and the Google Suite.
