Mission

As Category Manager at Carrefour Belgium you manage a product category to achieve, jointly with Business Units, sales targets and commercial margins (regular and promotional, national brands, MDD, PP), including stock impacts (quantity and quality). You negotiate purchase and supply conditions for your categories.

Your responsibilities as Category Manager at Carrefour Belgium are as follows:

• Foster commercial sense: understand customer needs and translate them into commercial actions. Develop sales and translate analyses into action
• Decide, in consultation with the Business, on revising and composing the assortment to create an offer that responds to customer demand and allows for achieving the desired margins.
• Ensure, based on store briefings and in consultation with the Business, the development of a sales plan suitable for contributing to achieving targets in terms of sales, margins, and price image.
• Implement promotional action policies and participate in developing own-brand marks
• Analyze the market and follow competition to ensure good positioning of product categories
• Maintain careful control over the number of references in the article database
• Coordinate supplies and ensure respect for store and depot stock levels

Profil

• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree
• You are bilingual; French and English. You have good knowledge of Dutch
• You are customer-oriented and have good commercial sense
• You are results-oriented
• You have analytical skills – rigor – attention to detail
• You work autonomously
• You are resistant to stress
• You demonstrate negotiation and decision-making abilities
• You are a good communicator
• You show curiosity and creativity. You are interested in market trends
• You have good knowledge of SAP, Excel, and Google Suite
