Category Management Working Student (m/f/d)
Job description
Briefly and concisely
As an online supermarket, the heart of our business is of course the Picnic App. The Category Management Team ensures that our digital shelves in all 6 regions are perfectly stocked with local products.
As a working student, you are the operational backbone of our team. With logical thinking and smart automation tools, you make our processes a little better every day. You work closely with Category, Brand, and cross-functional teams to solve supply shortages, check data, and ensure that our app is always perfectly maintained for our customers.
What awaits you
- Article Creation & Onboarding: You will be responsible for creating and onboarding new products in the system, ensuring that all necessary information is correct from day one and ready for our customers.
- Tool Support & Validation: You will support the introduction and use of our new automation tool. As an important instance for quality control, you will critically question processes and ensure that system outputs are correct.
- Product Performance Monitoring: You will keep a close eye on sales and inventory anomalies. If a top-priority item isn't selling or is shown as unavailable, you will dive into the system to find the cause so that our digital shelves always achieve maximum sales.
- Content & Storefront Optimization: If incomplete product presentations hinder sales, you will react quickly and tactically – for example, by quickly fixing missing product photos or incomplete item information in the app.
- Supply Chain & Inbound Coordination: You will support the team with daily commercial supply chain questions and resolve product delivery issues to ensure a smooth process in your categories.
- Teamwork: You offer strong operational support across various priority levels and work hand-in-hand with the entire Category team to optimally balance daily tasks.
What you bring to the table
- Advanced Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing a Master's degree in Business Administration, E-commerce, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a comparable field of study.
- A sharp eye for detail, strong logical thinking skills, and a natural curiosity to look behind the scenes and solve operational puzzles.
- Excellent organizational skills, a proactive attitude towards taking responsibility, and routine in handling daily workflows.
- A genuine affinity for the food industry and enthusiasm for working with new software systems.
- Time to support our team for 16 - 20 hours per week.
- Fluent German and English language skills.
What you can look forward to
- Get started with us: Become part of our international team in an environment that fosters real growth and an "Act like an Owner" mentality. With us, you have the chance to drive projects independently, test new ideas, and directly experience how your work makes an impact in our fast-growing company.
- Catering: Enjoy fresh, free breakfast and lunch in our office every day, along with plenty of snacks and fruit for an energy boost in between.
- Unforgettable Moments: From our legendary annual ski trip to Christmas parties and performances by our own Picnic band: We celebrate our successes together.
- A Modern Workspace: Our newly renovated office is designed for collaboration and offers you flexible working hours and 30 days of vacation (for a 40-hour week).
- Well-being & Balance: We offer you professional support for your mental health with OpenUp. And thanks to our dog-friendly office, your four-legged companion is welcome by arrangement.
- The Basics: We provide you with everything for your success – including a laptop and access to exclusive discounts (Corporate Benefits) for travel, technology, and much more.
- Sustainability at the Core: Become part of the revolution. You contribute to a greener future – through our 100% electric fleet and our supply chain that reduces food waste.
- Attractive Remuneration: As a working student, you will earn €14.75/hour (Bachelor) or €15.50/hour (Master) and gain exciting practical experience.
Feel free to send us your application in English if you already have an English version ready.
