Category Buyer Middle

Important specialized reality in designing and producing electrical and mechanical systems is looking for a Category Buyer Middle profile.

Within the Purchasing Office and reporting directly to the Procurement Department, the Category Buyer will have the task of overseeing the entire procurement process for assigned merchandise categories, contributing to achieving company goals of cost optimization, quality, and timing.

Main responsibilities:

• Negotiate commercial terms with national and international suppliers on prices, delivery times, and conditions.

• Research, select, and qualify new suppliers.

• Manage and monitor the performance of existing suppliers, implementing improvement plans.

• Support internal functions (Quality, Technical Office, Service, Spare Parts) in resolving supply issues.

• Collaborate on budget planning and procurement planning.

• Contribute to reducing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

• Analyze the supply chain to improve efficiency and sustainability.

• Manage suppliers with short, medium, and long-term vision.

Main requirements:

• Techincal diploma or degree in Engineering Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

• 4-5 years of experience in similar roles (buyer, procurement specialist, technical buyer) in structured industrial contexts.

• Excellent knowledge of the English language (a second language is welcome).

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, SAP, 2D CAD tools.

• Competence in reading technical drawings.

• Familiarity with budgeting processes, cost analysis, MRP logic, and procurement planning.
