Full Job Description

Medcall is a leading healthcare agency that supplies non-clinical staff, caregivers and nurses to various hospitals, rest homes, aged care and community services across New Zealand. Many of our clients have large retirement villages with commercial kitchens, cafes and laundries.
We are looking for Cooks to join our team of casual staff in Cambridge

We offer flexibility to work around other commitments, and the ability to choose when and where you work.

We are looking for people to:

1. To prepare and cook meals according to menu plans and dietary requirements in a timely and hygienic manner.
2. To support the effective daily operation of the kitchen, ensuring safe food handling and storage practices.
3. To maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment.
4. To follow the philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Medcall and its clients.
5. To actively promote wellbeing and safety and report any concerns, near misses, incidents, or hazards promptly.

You will need:

• City & Guilds 706/1/706/2 or NZQA desired
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Cook or similar role, ideally in a commercial kitchen
• Knowledge of special dietary needs and texture-modified diets.
• Ability to manage time and tasks effectively in a busy kitchen.
