Casual Children’s Developmental Services Support Worker (CDS Support Worker) – Thunder Bay District (Marathon, Nipigon, Geraldton) Casual Employment Opportunity Pay Rate: $24.50/hr Mileage Reimbursement Rate: $0.56/km Operating under the Children’s Aid Society of the District of Thunder Bay, the goal of the Children’s Developmental Services Program is to enable children and youth with complex medical/developmental needs to remain at home in the care of their families. Working directly with families, the CDS Support Worker will provide support and assistance to children and youth with complex medical/developmental needs, enabling them to remain at home in the care of their families. This may include, but is not limited to, providing personal care, assisting with daily living activities, and providing emotional support. The CDS Support Worker will also work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide education and support to families. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the needs of children and youth with complex medical/developmental needs, and will be able to work effectively with families and the multidisciplinary team to provide support and assistance. The CDS Support Worker will be required to work in a variety of settings, including homes, schools, and community-based settings, and will be expected to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the principles of the Children’s Aid Society of the District of Thunder Bay.
