Cashier on Ferry Ships

Role Description

Reporting to the Catering Manager, the resources will be responsible for managing the various points of sale on board ferry ships (shops, bars, restaurants, and self-service), operating in the Mediterranean basin. The role requires staying on board for the entire duration of the embarkation period.

Main Activities:

• execution of all cash collection, registration, and receipt issuance procedures related to sales and control of cash flows in the various points of sale
• management of the opening and closing of points of sale
• product sales
• preparation and restocking of beverages and other products for sale or service in the different outlets
• arrangement of merchandise in the shop, display of showcases, and restocking of products
• inventory control and verification
• collaboration with the Catering Manager and the Ligabue team for the correct provision of service on board

Requirements

• high school diploma, preferably in accounting, hospitality, or tourism
• good knowledge of the English language
• previous experience in the commercial or hospitality/tourism sector
• excellent relational and communication skills
• aptitude for sales
• flexibility and punctuality
• availability to remain on board for the entire duration of the embarkation (approximately 2 months)

Remuneration Framework:

• Public Establishments National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL Pubblici Esercizi)
• Level: 5
• Salary Range: €23,000 - €28,000
