Job Title: Regional Cash Application Lead – Americas Job Description: The Cash Application Lead - Americas role is a critical position within the finance team, responsible for the efficient and accurate application of customer payments. This role will oversee a team of cash application specialists, ensuring timely and accurate posting of cash receipts, resolution of payment discrepancies, and adherence to established policies and procedures. The Cash Application Lead will collaborate closely with other finance and sales teams to optimize cash application processes, improve customer satisfaction, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. Key Responsibilities: * Manage and oversee the daily activities of the cash application team, including cash posting, reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution. * Ensure timely and accurate posting of customer payments to accounts receivable. * Monitor and analyze payment trends, identifying and resolving any issues or delays. * Develop and implement strategies to improve cash application efficiency and accuracy. * Collaborate with sales, customer service, and other departments to resolve payment disputes and discrepancies. * Maintain and update cash application policies and procedures. * Provide training and guidance to cash application specialists. * Prepare and analyze cash application reports, providing insights into payment trends and outstanding receivables. * Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and company policies. * Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities. * Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. * Stay informed of industry best practices and emerging technologies related to cash application. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in cash application or accounts receivable. * Proven leadership and team management skills. * Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. * Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables). * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with high-volume cash application environments. * Knowledge of international payment methods and regulations. * Experience with automation tools and technologies.
