RCM Carpentry & Remedial Services Pty Ltd, established in 2017, is a growing carpentry business specialising in the installation and servicing of doors, windows, fire safety systems, and providing comprehensive solutions for walls, ceilings, and remedial services. We collaborate on various projects with private builders and large construction companies, focusing on both renovation projects and commercial buildings.

The Role:

We are looking for a full-time carpenter for a position that involves performing formwork, door and window installation, and ceiling and deck installation. Our preference is to hire locally, and we also seek to address labour shortages through overseas sourcing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct building framework and roof framing, laying sub-flooring and floorboards and verifying the trueness of structures.
• Nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding, door and window frames
• Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install
• Ensure work meets safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members and follow project plans.
• To be able to operate tools, machines and other equipment and assess the quality of woodwork and materials.
• Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
• Carry out site inspections, identify problems and complete on-site maintenance.
• Supervise and compile on-site WHS documentation (Prestart, Toolbox talks, SDS, SWMs and task observations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong carpentry knowledge and practical skills
• Handyman experience is a plus
• Plastering skills are an advantage
• Own vehicle and tools (company vehicle provided for certain tasks)
• Basic computer and phone skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• NSW Driver’s Licence
• White Card
• Boom Lift Tickets (desirable)
