Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine materials required and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated.
- Cut, shape, and assemble timber and other materials to construct frameworks for buildings.
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, using hand and power tools.
- Examine structures and materials for defects and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with construction teams and supervisors to meet project deadlines and specifications.
- Operate a variety of carpentry tools and machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Measure, mark, and arrange materials following layout designs.
- Repair existing frameworks and structures, replacing damaged or deteriorated components.
- Relevant qualification.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Carpenter.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
