Carer - Temporary Contract (Maternity Cover)

Faircape Health, a division of the Faircape Group, owns and manages six luxury lifestyle villages with state of the art and technologically advanced Healthcare Centres at each village. We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and compassionate Carer for a temporary contract (maternity cover) to join our team at facility Onrus Manor, Hermanus. As part of the team, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised care and support to patients requiring long term care - frail care, dementia care, and other complex needs. Your main responsibilities will include: • Providing high-quality care and support to patients with varying levels of need, including those with dementia, physical disabilities, and other complex health conditions. • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support. • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient. • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient care and progress. • Participating in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date with best practices and industry developments. Requirements: • A relevant qualification in a field such as nursing, social work, or occupational therapy (or equivalent). • At least 2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in long-term care or gerontology. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues. • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment. • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to adjust to changing circumstances and priorities.
