Title: Captain of Maintenance

Area: Maintenance

Reports to: Project Manager

Mission:

A sure that the equipment used in manufacturing and processing industries functions correctly and efficiently. Diagnose and repair faults. Also, carry out regular maintenance checks. Additionally, manage mechanical department. Supervise all installation, repair, and maintenance operations at company facilities. Be responsible for ensuring colleagues have access to best physical resources available to complete tasks within budget. Have a deep understanding of all maintenance processes, as well as health and safety regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Development of maintenance procedures and ensuring implementation.
• Conducting inspections to identify and solve problems.
• Verifying hydraulic and electrical systems for functionality.
• Planning all installation and repair activities.
• Supervising equipment inventory and making orders when necessary.
• Maintaining maintenance records and reporting daily activities.
• E nsuring compliance with health and safety policies.
• Planning predictive and preventive maintenance for production lines, ensuring functionality.
• Coordinating processes with the Maintenance Captain to design and implement maintenance for each area involved.

Safety:

Work according to all health and safety regulations. Be aware of any hazards or infringements and report to Health and Safety Department. Participate in safety program.

Travel Requirements:

This position will require occasional travel.

Certifications:

• Minimum education: Engineering or Technical degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, or related field.
• Years of experience in similar positions: 3 years. Experience in underground mining: 1 year.
• Word, Excel, Power Point

Skills and Knowledge:

• Must have aptitudes for administrative tasks, such as report writing, budgeting, etc.
• Practical skills.
• A logical and methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with colleagues at various levels of the organization.
• E nsure that all predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance is executed safely, efficiently, and effectively.
