Supermarket Department Manager

Umana S.p.A. for an important supermarket chain is seeking a DEPARTMENT MANAGER to be placed in a supermarket in Castelfiorentino (FI). Responsibilities: - Management and coordination of point-of-sale activities: you will have to ensure the achievement of sales objectives and customer satisfaction. - Personnel management: you will be responsible for organizing work shifts and monitoring staff performance. - Supplier relationship management: you will have to maintain good relations with suppliers, ensuring timely deliveries and negotiating favorable conditions. - Inventory management and merchandising: you will be responsible for controlling stock levels, ordering products, and ensuring the proper display and presentation of merchandise on shelves. - Compliance with company procedures and standards: you will have to ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and hygiene standards. Requirements: - Previous experience as a department manager or in a similar role in the retail sector, preferably in the supermarket sector. - Proven leadership and team management skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Problem-solving skills and proactivity. - Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising techniques. - Availability to work on a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. - High school diploma or equivalent.
