Job description

Function

As a calculator for exclusive construction projects in Aarschot, you play a key role from the initial plans to the final execution. You translate construction files and client needs into accurate quotes, feasible budgets, and well-structured preparation, with a special focus on villa construction and custom total renovations.

You work closely with the internal construction team, external design partners, and other involved parties to optimally prepare projects technically and administratively. In doing so, you combine numerical insight with construction technical knowledge and a structured approach. You will have the opportunity to contribute to efficient execution methods and to make an impact on unique creations from the very beginning.

  • Develop detailed calculations and quotes based on plans and project information.
  • Prepare bills of quantities and refine budgets based on stability, techniques, and client wishes.
  • Determine suitable materials, execution methods, and technical solutions in consultation with the construction team.
  • Compile execution files and structure them administratively.
  • Coordinate with internal colleagues and external partners to ensure a smooth handover to execution.
  • Monitor and adjust costs, budgets, and planning as necessary.
  • Clearly communicate technical and numerical information to all involved parties.

In this role, you will work on high-quality projects with a lot of variety, responsibility, and room to further develop your expertise.

Profile

For this position, we are looking for an analytical and accurate professional with a strong affinity for construction technology and project preparation. Ideally, you have a bachelor's or master's degree in construction, preferably industrial engineering, or equivalent through relevant experience. A background of 3 to 5 years in calculation, work preparation, or a similar construction role is a significant asset.

  • Bachelor or master's degree in construction, or equivalent through experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in calculation, work preparation, new construction, or total renovation.
  • Affinity with stability, techniques, cost calculation, and administrative follow-up.
  • Practical insight into construction works; site experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work with calculation software or willingness to further develop in this area.
  • Strong analytical skills, an eye for detail, and an accurate way of working.
  • Good sense of planning, structure, and collaboration within a professional team.
  • Fluent communication in Dutch; knowledge of French is a bonus.
  • Sense of responsibility, eagerness to learn, and the drive to grow with challenging projects.

You feel at home in an environment where quality, precision, and involvement are central, and where you work independently but also in close consultation with colleagues.

Offer

You can count on an attractive and market-conform salary package, tailored to your knowledge, experience, and responsibilities. In addition, you will join a stable and people-oriented work environment where quality, consultation, and long-term commitment are central.

  • Attractive salary based on your experience and competencies.
  • Additional benefits included.
  • Flexible work arrangements and negotiable working hours.
  • Respect for a healthy work-life balance.
  • Possibility of collaboration on an independent or permanent basis.
  • Varied and challenging projects without routine.
  • Professional, collegial atmosphere within a stable family business.
  • Room for training, further education, and development.
  • Long-term perspective within a strong and value-driven construction company.
