Cabinet Maker/Joiner

The Role We are seeking an experienced and qualified Cabinetmaker/Joiner to join a well-established joinery workshop in the Manawatu. This is a hands-on role focused on producing high-quality, custom cabinetry for both residential and commercial projects. You'll be working from detailed plans and drawings, using a range of materials, tools, and machinery to deliver precision craftsmanship while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Manufacture custom cabinetry to detailed specifications and drawings. Select and prepare materials, including timber, veneers, and hardware. Operate woodworking machinery such as saws, planers, and routers. Assemble cabinetry components with precision and attention to detail. Ensure all work meets the highest standards of quality and finish. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Adhere to all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines. Skills and Experience Proven experience as a Cabinetmaker/Joiner. Strong understanding of woodworking techniques and joinery principles. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
