Cabinet Maker

Urban Caravans Pty Ltd, located in Somerton, Victoria is one of the few caravan manufacturers, in Victoria implementing TIG welding processes for hand crafting aluminum frames of our caravans. In addition, Urban Caravans Pty Ltd, prides itself for building and installing custom made interiors and fittings.

The company is so unique and different to other caravan builders: as we incorporate our background trades into the construction of superior and state-of-the-art caravans.

We now seek an experienced Cabinet Maker to join the team of the expanding industry and company. The successful applicant will possess previous experience as a Cabinet Maker, installations and knowledge of the caravan construction industry.

As the Cabinet Maker, you will work with a team of craftsmen and duties include:

• Ability to work autonomously within a team and meet deadlines and project requirements.
• Proven Ability to make, fabricate, repair and level wooden furniture by examining plans. work orders and selecting suitable and workable material with the use of necessary tools, machinery and apparatus.
• Experience with working with various kinds of materials, including: wood, veneer, various timbers and boards.
• Assemble and fit furniture with specific measurements and alignments, inclusive of: required catches, hinges, hooks, shelves and drawers.

To fill the position, the Cabinet Maker should have:

• Certificate III in Cabinet Making or Carpentry, equivalent or extensive industry experience; and
• No less than 1-year relevant employment experience in a similar industry or environment, where: fine details for production, fitting and assembly are paramount.
