The Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated full-time Cabinetmaker to join our team. The Cabinetmaker is responsible for manufacturing, assembling, installing and repairing cabinets, furniture and other timber-based fittings in accordance with plans, specifications and customer requirements.

The duties are as follows, but not limited to:

• Reading and interpreting drawings, plans and specifications.
• Measuring, marking and cutting timber, laminate, MDF and other materials.
• Operating woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and accurately.
• Manufacturing and assembling cabinets, cupboards, wardrobes, shelving and other fitted furniture.
• Installing cabinets and joinery at residential and commercial sites.
• Fitting hinges, handles, drawer runners and other cabinet hardware.
• Checking measurements, alignment and finishes to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Sanding, finishing and preparing surfaces as required.
• Repairing or modifying existing cabinetry and furniture.
• Maintaining tools, machinery and a clean and safe work area.
• Following workplace health and safety procedures.
• Working independently and as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes.

What we are looking for

• At least a Certificate III in cabinetmaking is preferable
• At least 1 year of strong cabinetmaking and joinery knowledge with hands-on experience
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Experience operating tools, machinery, and construction equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
