Systems Engineer / Specialist Technician Technical Support to Schools Program (TSSP) – Education Sector Location: Victoria | Employment Type: Contract, Casual, or Permanent | Salary: $80,000 – $110,000 (pro-rata) About Bytewize Bytewize is seeking highly experienced IT professionals to join our team in both contract and ongoing employment positions. Successful candidates will be employed by Bytewize to deliver technical support services to the Department of Education through the Technical Support to Schools Program (TSSP). This program aims to provide high-quality technical support to schools, ensuring that they have access to reliable and efficient IT systems. As a Systems Engineer / Specialist Technician, you will work closely with our team to design, implement, and maintain these IT systems, providing technical expertise and support to schools across Victoria. Key Responsibilities: • Provide technical support to schools through the TSSP program, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades of IT systems. • Collaborate with the Bytewize team to design and implement IT solutions that meet the needs of schools and the Department of Education. • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including school administrators, teachers, and students. • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in IT, and apply this knowledge to improve technical support services. • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve program goals and objectives. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • Minimum 3 years' experience in IT systems engineering or specialist technician role. • Strong understanding of IT systems, including hardware, software, and networking. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Willingness to travel to schools across Victoria (up to 50% of the time).
