Buyer - Food Sector

Announcement Description Hofmann Professional is the division specialized in the search and selection of highly professional profiles of I.K. Hofmann - A European Group with over 40 years of leadership and experience in human resources services. On behalf of a food company, we are selecting a Buyer who will join a phase of strong growth and organizational development and will be responsible for planning and managing the procurement of all raw materials, semi-finished products, and packaging material according to the company's production plan, respecting predefined times, standards, and costs. Your Role: - Plan and manage the procurement of food raw materials with a strong focus on efficiency and product quality as per the bill of materials, ensuring the best trade-off in terms of margin, product quality, and delivery times; - Manage price negotiations and purchasing conditions with suppliers, define new supply contracts; - Define the procurement schedule: manage inventory rotation, forecast stock depletion times and necessary replenishment in collaboration with production; - Define price lists for certain suppliers, implement and improve processes; - Conduct market analysis aimed at scouting new suppliers and new products following the guidelines provided by the Research and Development Office; - Consolidate and implement relationships with suppliers (also in terms of possible partnerships, commercial exclusives, etc.), including through periodic visits to their premises; - Participation in industry fairs and events; - Analyze trend reports of the main reference raw material indices and monthly comparison with actual purchase prices realized; - Operational management of 1 resource; - Interface with internal functions (R&D, Finance, Logistics, Quality, Warehouse, Production, and Sales) and external inter-functional relations (public bodies, suppliers, consulting firms). The Ideal Profile - At least 5 years of experience in the role of Buyer for the Food sector with consolidated experience in purchasing raw materials; - Autonomy in economic negotiations and management of the available budget; - Flexibility in managing spot negotiations; - Excellent analytical and negotiation skills; - Excellent knowledge of the English language (preferably also German and French). - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; - Proactivity and excellent organizational and planning skills; - Availability to undertake short business trips during the year within Europe.
