Senior Buyer

We are a company specializing in integrated navigation systems, part of a multisector leader in the high-tech, advanced electronics, and defense systems sector operating through its facilities worldwide.

We are looking for a Senior Buyer for the indirect categories for our Procurement team.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing purchasing strategies for indirect categories, ensuring compliance with service levels identified by internal and external stakeholders, as well as budget constraints.

The position is based in Pomezia (RM)

Job Responsibilities

Purchasing Strategies:

• Identify business needs / new projects
• Define, plan, and manage the implementation of category plans (purchasing strategies)
• Define the budget for the categories of responsibility (std cost / lead time / dpo)
• Be the guarantor of the achievement of objectives/targets
• Introduce new suppliers through scouting activities and appropriate engagement of internal stakeholders

Procurement Process:

• Manage supplier relationships
• Create/maintain supplier qualification
• Be responsible for feeding/maintaining information related to your product category/ies and their reliability
• Process RFQ / RFP according to procurement procedures
• Be responsible for sending documentation for quotation requests
• Ensure the best negotiation with the supplier and the drafting of a framework agreement or other contractual forms
• Ensure the correct management and execution of the order, including: verification of license release/coverage, acceptance, expediting
• Processing and responsibility for executing any recovery plans in case of critical issues
• Feed and manage NGI information systems and be responsible for the information

Stakeholder Relations:

Suppliers: Monitor supplier performance and ensure the resolution of any quality/reliability issues by activating all internal communication channels; Participate in the audit plan with visits to suppliers; Ensure fluid/effective/efficient communication between NGI and suppliers

Clients / other company areas: Be the point of contact for all stakeholders for the purchasing categories managed

Supplier Data Management:

• Manage supplier data information in compliance with Privacy regulations and company procedures.
• Ensure the management and collection of NDAs according to procedure.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (any discipline) or Degree in Economics.

Experience In

• Previous experience in a similar role for at least 6 years
• Consolidated experience in medium or large manufacturing companies, with a preference for entities operating in the aerospace and defense sectors

Knowledge

• Knowledge of negotiation techniques
• Knowledge of SAP, especially the MM module
• Knowledge of the Office suite
• Knowledge of the English language

The gross annual salary for this position ranges from €57,000 to €60,000
