Job description

We are looking for an experienced Buyer Planner in sourcing and purchasing, responsible for ensuring the timely availability of finished products, semi-finished products, and raw materials for manufacturing.


We are seeking a profile with a strong planning orientation, capable of transforming demand forecasts, inventory levels, lead times, and supply capacities into actionable sourcing and replenishment plans.


The position will play a key role in balancing service level, product availability, inventory, and working capital, coordinating constantly with national and international suppliers and with the Commercial, Operations, Logistics, and Finance departments.


Main Responsibilities

  1. Develop and track the supply and sourcing plan for finished products, semi-finished products, and raw materials.
  2. Translate demand forecasts, sales trends, and business needs into purchase and replenishment plans, defining what to buy, how much, and when.
  3. Analyze inventory levels, coverage, lead times, MOQs, and replenishment parameters to maintain optimal availability levels.
  4. Monitor and propose adjustments to safety stocks, reorder points, and planning parameters according to demand and supply behavior.
  5. Anticipate risks of shortages, overstocking, obsolescence, or supply restrictions and develop scenarios and mitigation plans.
  6. Monitor indicators such as inventory coverage, fill rate, service level, turnover, obsolescence, OTIF, and working capital.
  7. Actively participate in S&OP / S&OE processes, contributing with analysis of capacity, inventory, supply constraints, and risks.
  8. Coordinate with national and international suppliers to ensure compliance with lead times and required supply dates.
  9. Issue and track purchase orders derived from the sourcing plan, ensuring their correct execution.
  10. Generate analyses and recommendations to optimize inventory, logistics costs, and working capital utilization.
  11. Collaborate with Procurement and strategic suppliers on negotiations and supply agreements when necessary.


Required Profile

  • Experience in Supply Planning, Materials Planning, Replenishment Planning, Demand & Supply Planning, or hybrid Planning / Procurement positions.
  • Solid knowledge of inventory management and optimization.
  • Experience working with MRP, ERP, or supply planning tools.
  • Experience defining or managing parameters such as lead times, safety stock, reorder points, MOQs, and inventory coverage.
  • Ability to analyze demand, inventory, and supply constraints and convert them into actionable plans.
  • Experience working with international suppliers; exposure to suppliers in Asia is highly desirable.
  • Experience with import supply chains and international lead times.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Advanced English is essential due to constant interaction with international suppliers.
  • Experience participating in S&OP / S&OE processes.
  • Analytical, structured profile with a high capacity for problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Commercial, Operations, Logistics, Finance, and Procurement.
  • Experience in manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods companies is desirable.
