Buyer – Infrastructure (IT Category)

Role Purpose The IT Category Buyer will own end-to-end procurement, delivery, and commercial governance for IT hardware and physical IT infrastructure (active & passive) across campuses and offices. The role spans design coordination, requirement freezing, sourcing, delivery, commissioning, and handover , while ensuring strong data integrity, budget control, MIS reporting, and audit-ready documentation for the IT category. This role acts as a single point of accountability across internal stakeholders, suppliers, and vendors. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing procurement strategies to meet business needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize requirements, developing detailed specifications and technical requirements for IT infrastructure projects. • Sourcing and negotiating contracts with suppliers, ensuring best value for money and compliance with organizational policies and procedures. • Managing the procurement process from initiation to delivery, including contract administration, payment processing, and performance monitoring. • Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of procurement activities, budget tracking, and spend analysis. • Maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and vendors to ensure effective communication, issue resolution, and continuous improvement. • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to continuously improve procurement processes and outcomes.
