Buyer- Indirect

The Buyer is responsible for supporting procurement activities, sourcing, and purchasing materials, supplies, and services in accordance with company policies and specifications. This role involves identifying suppliers, obtaining quotes, and ensuring that products are delivered on time and within budget. The Buyer will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement operations are streamlined and efficient.***The role also involves working closely with procurement teams from other Mattel subsidiaries under the Global Procurement network, ensuring all activities comply with global procurement regulations and standards.

1. Manage sourcing and purchasing activities by utilizing and exploring all available resources, ensuring compliance with specifications, procurement procedures, and relevant regulations.
2. Ensure that all products sourced and purchased according to specification and are safe for use in production. Implement new product sourcing strategies by collaborating with end users/requesters to review and refine specifications.
3. Negotiate prices and lead times with suppliers while conducting cost analysis and comparisons to achieve the most competitive pricing without compromising quality or service.
4. Monitor and track incoming shipments; coordinate closely with the logistics team to manage the customs clearance process by providing all required documentation, ensuring timely delivery and availability of materials.
5. • Develop and maintain a supplier database based on product categories and supplier performance records. Continuously improving procurement processes and identifying opportunities for cost-saving and operational efficiencу.
6. • Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations to ensure quality, delivery reliability, service level, and compliance with agreed terms.
