Job Title and Role Purpose: BUYER

Position Description: The resource, reporting to the Purchasing Manager, will be responsible for managing the procurement of indirect materials, services, and company supplies, with the possibility of progressively developing expertise also in the purchase of direct materials and components for production.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage the purchasing process for indirect materials, services, equipment, and consumables.
• Analyze purchase requests from various company functions.
• Research, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers.
• Request, compare, and negotiate offers, prices, commercial terms, and delivery times.
• Issue and manage purchase orders.
• Monitor deliveries, material availability, and compliance with agreed-upon terms.
• Manage any issues related to delays, non-conformities, and disputes.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, Administration, and Technical Office.
• Support the evaluation of supplier performance.
• Contribute to cost reduction and supplier base optimization.
• Prepare reports and analyses related to purchases, costs, savings, and supplier performance.
• Progressively develop expertise in managing direct purchases and production components.

Requirements for Participation in Selections:

• High school diploma or degree, preferably in economics, technical, or management fields.
• At least 2 years of previous experience in purchasing, preferably within mechanical engineering companies and in managing indirect materials and services.

Technical Skills (Hard Skills):

• Good knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Good knowledge of the English language.
• Good knowledge of mechanical drawing.
• Willingness to develop expertise in both indirect and direct purchasing areas.

Will be a plus

• Knowledge of SAP
• Experience in managing purchase requisitions, orders, and supplier master data through ERP systems
• Knowledge of other company management software or procurement tools
• Knowledge of cost analysis techniques and supplier qualification processes

Contract Conditions

Work Location: Modena

Working Hours: Full Time, central hours from 08:00 to 17:00.

Contract Type: Permanent contract, CCNL Metalmeccanica Industria (National Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Metalworking Industry).

Salary Package within budget: Reference salary range – from €30,000 to €35,000 gross annual salary based on professional skills and experience, production bonus, welfare benefits.
