Description:

Liaise with Business Stakeholders to understand needs, document Solution requirements for development team to use
● Liaises with Data Engineers and BI Developers to deliver on requests
● Understand who from the team needs to be involved to deliver on the request
● Outline what information the business stakeholders need to provide in order to get estimates from the team
● Work with the PM to outline delivery timelines, when resources are available, etc.
● Must create User Stories and tasks within JIRA for and with Development team as well as traceability to Business requirements and Test Cases created by QA
● Be able to partner with various internal teams throughout delivery and be the point of contact to clarify/provide direction including but not limited to:
○ Partner with Data Architect to diagram the solution and identify how the business requirements will be satisfied
○ Partner and provide clarity to QA on test cases, UAT and provide input in End to End as it pertains to the Data Platform

● Your typical day:
○ Daily Stand-up with team
○ Engaging with various business stakeholders to understand what their needs are including what is the output being requested (i.e. report or dashboard) and be able to work backwards into what data is going to be required to achieve the output (leveraging a series of business analysis techniques) to derive an agreed to understanding for business audience (i.e. scope of work) and development team (i.e. JIRA user stories, tasks, etc)
○ Review and consult on BRD submissions with respective business stakeholders to ensure there is a clear understanding of what is being asked including the correct members of the team to ask questions and obtain sign-off
○ Create Solution requirements and walkthrough with business stakeholders and obtain sign-off
○ Consult and have ongoing discussions with developers to ensure work is progressing, provide clarity on requirements, document decisions


Ideal Candidate (Experience and Skills):
● Minimum of 6-10 years of business analysis experience, specifically in system implementation and software projects, with a strong background in designing data lakes and data warehousing components
● Expert in mapping current and future state processes, requirements elicitation and analysis, methodology development, and process optimization
● Strong knowledge of SQL, Snowfl ake and Tableau platforms, including features and functionality, with the ability to communicate technical details to non-technical business users
● Proficient in using Draw.io/Diagrams.net, LucidChart, JIRA, Confluence, and Google Suite applications
● Resourceful, critical thinker, and detail-oriented, capable of supporting sound decision-making for solution options that drive desired business outcomes
● Exceptional interpersonal and consulting skills, emphasizing rapport-building, effective questioning, and technical expertise
● Proven ability to document requirements, technical specifications, diagram processes, and create models (e.g., business requirements documents, data mapping, modeling, and related artifacts)
● Adept at managing multiple tasks efficiently and working independently.
● Demonstrated experience in negotiating and leading prioritization and scoping discussions with business stakeholders, project teams, and technology vendors
