Business Systems Analyst Calypso & Middle Office Operations

About the Role We are looking for a high-level Middle Office Expert with a deep understanding of the Calypso platform to join our strategic project team. In this role, you will act as a vital bridge between complex financial operations and technical implementation. This is an urgent requirement for someone who can combine deep market knowledge with the ability to design and document robust platform solutions. Key Responsibilities * Requirements Engineering: Translate complex Middle Office business requirements into detailed functional specifications for the Calypso platform. * System Analysis: Analyze existing Middle Office processes and the current Calypso implementation to identify areas for improvement and automation. * Solution Design: Design and propose innovative solutions within the Calypso platform to optimize Middle Office workflows. * Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process flows. * Testing and Validation: Collaborate with testing teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements through thorough testing and validation. * Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders from both the business and technology teams. * Project Management Support: Support project managers in the planning, execution, and monitoring of project tasks related to Calypso implementations and enhancements. * Training: Provide training to end-users on new or modified system functionalities. * Support and Troubleshooting: Provide support and troubleshoot issues related to Calypso and Middle Office operations. Key Skills and Experience * Extensive experience with the Calypso platform, including its configuration and functionality. * Deep understanding of Middle Office operations, including trade lifecycle management, risk management, and reporting. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely. * Proven ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications. * Experience in creating comprehensive documentation, including BRDs, functional specifications, and process flows. * Experience with testing and validation methodologies. * Experience in training end-users on new system functionalities. * Familiarity with financial instruments and markets. * Project management experience is a plus. Education and Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. * Relevant certifications (e.g., Calypso certifications) are a plus.
