Business Portfolio Manager

About the role | He Aha Te Tūranga This role operates under nib’s OrbitProtect brand, where we offer insurance plans designed to provide comprehensive cover for inbound international students, seasonal workers and other international visitors to New Zealand. As the Business Portfolio Manager, you are responsible for driving profitable growth in nib New Zealand’s International Visitors portfolio (IVNZ) by leading policyholder growth across the international student and intermediated segments, with a focus on developing and implementing strategies to increase market share, improve customer satisfaction and drive revenue growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Product Development and Operations to achieve these goals. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing business plans to drive profitable growth in the IVNZ portfolio; • Leading policyholder growth across international student and intermediated segments; • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement marketing strategies and product offerings that meet customer needs; • Analyzing market trends, competitor activity and customer insights to inform business decisions; • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Product Development and Operations teams; • Providing regular reporting and analysis on portfolio performance to senior management. This role requires a high level of analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
