THE ROLE: The Business Director is an experienced media expert within the ZEUR (Zone Europe) Transverse team. They will be responsible for developing relationships with Nestlé's Category team, demonstrating excellent communication planning skills and top-tier strategic consulting, and possessing the necessary knowledge/skills to promote innovative thinking and excellent planning.

You will be a key point of contact for all coffee markets in the ZEUR zone, providing media and strategic guidance.

This role will be a key facilitator and accelerator of integrating Category strategy into local media plans, developing the strategy for media investment allocation across markets and brands, increasing Category visibility in planning, performance, and competitive insights, and ensuring consistency across markets.

You will work closely with the Category Manager and the Strategy & Planning team, and will benefit from the support of a team of specialists: holistic research, Retail Digital Media (RDM), data analysis, data and technology specialists at the transverse level.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support and develop the implementation of the media investment allocation strategy across the various Category portfolios, markets, and brands.
  • Understand the challenges of the ZEUR Category, as well as the specificities of local markets (local vision).
  • Become a key player in your clients' business, leading and executing their vision.
  • Be recognized as a source of energy and insights for both the team and the client.
  • Provide strategic and media advice to ZEUR markets.
  • Establish strategic communication principles and detailed guidelines for local adaptation at the transverse level (above-market).
  • Design the QBRs and bi-annual Top to Top sessions to review quarterly strategic performance, key learnings, challenges, and future plans, as well as future strategy and next steps at the market level.
  • Regularly provide brand teams with updates on media landscape evolutions, media forecasts, and category spend insights.
  • Support the team in planning and recommending media investments, the portfolio, and key campaigns across markets, in collaboration with Nestlé's Category Media and Marketing leadership teams.
  • Provide guidance and a framework on measurement approaches and new pilot projects.
  • Establish regular contact points with market clusters and key markets to understand feedback and implementation challenges, as well as important market dynamics.

YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) consumption trends and the ZEUR media landscape.
  • Solid experience in multimedia planning.
  • Experience in managing high-level clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience in coordinating multiple markets, stakeholders, and agency partners.
  • A thirst for learning regarding technology, trends, media, individuals, brands, and the industry.
  • Data culture: awareness of available resources and the ability to transform data into insights that shape clear strategic opportunities.
  • Have a strong opinion and be able to express it clearly and positively.
  • Good storytelling skills – to give our ideas and thinking the best chance of success.
  • Sufficient knowledge of the regional market sector and landscape (e.g., consumers, publishers, regulations) and specific expertise (e.g., Search, Programmatic, Retail Digital Media).
  • Strong organizational skills that will help structure and drive the coffee category roadmap for ZEUR.

YOUR PROFILE / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Higher education degree (Bachelor's degree +3/4 minimum), a higher degree is a plus (Master's degree +5).
  • 10 years or more of experience.
  • Previous experience required with large global and/or regional clients.
  • Very good level of English (the essential part of the daily tasks is in English).

Recruitment Process:

Interview with the recruitment team: An initial phone or video conference interview with a member of our team. This will allow us to get to know your skills and experience better, and will give you the opportunity to ask questions about the role and the company.

Case Study: A case study will be proposed to you to evaluate your technical skills related to the position. A presentation will be offered.

Operational Interview: You will then have a discussion with the Business Partner and the Lead Openmind France.
